Dr. Franklin, I loved your reflections at the panel discussion in Washington, DC, Monday, September 17, 2007. There was limited time for all, but I was able to come away with an enhanced perspective on racial equality in America. I look forward to reading your autobiography in "Mirror to America" soon. I was also very impressed with Professor Klarman and his succinct discussion on his book "Unfinished Business". I also recall your earlier work, "From Slavery to Freedom", that it was used in a class I took almost thirty years ago; African American History, taught on a University of Maryland University College site at Wallace Air Station La Union Philippines.
